Is there a formal definition definition of the zot protocol?

For newcomers: You can also use the BBcode syntax [baseurl]/path/to/hub/link and the baseurl tag will render as the domain name of the hub displaying the content. It's one of the "identity-aware" tags. Sometimes the link might fail if for example the help pages have changed between versions and the observer's hub is running a different version, but it's useful for sharing links to channel settings and things like that ( e.g. https://start.hubzilla.org/settings ).

First, most open hardware people, and even most free software people I'll say, are (still) on twitter/facebook, not on the free social networks. That's just how things are. Even if you count only hackerspaces - letting aside makerspaces, fablabs and whatnot where free networks aren't even a thing - their presence on the free social networks is still weak.

Second, the GOSH initiative is about open hardware in science. Their target audience are not only open source hardware people, but first and foremost scientists who are starting to realize the importance of openness. Again, these people don't even know the free social networks exist.

The lack of general interest in free social networks is amazing.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand neoliberalism. The ideology is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of macroeconomics most of the ideas will go over a typical voter’s head. There’s also Merkel's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- her personal philosophy draws heavily from Towards A Radical Middle, for instance. Neolibs understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these policies, to realise that they’re not just good ideas - they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Neoliberalism truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Ben Bernanke’s existential catchphrase “If we acted, nobody would thank us. But if we did not act, who would?” which itself is a cryptic reference to Freidman’s epic A Theory of the Consumption Function. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Emmanuel Macron’s genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Ben Bernanke tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably closer) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid.
