Understanding this hub and how to navigate appears to require technical abilities with which I have not been blessed. Lost completely on two counts so far.
Received a request from a denizen of another hub which I decided to accept. Following the procedure outlined in one of the Hubzilla help pages, I went to the profile page to discover there was no connect button. However, our profile icons appeared in each others page although one a sported a red minus sign of unknown meaning. Trying to reverse the the flawed connection did not succeed. I assume the two hubs are not on congenial speaking terms and won't until the admins find and fix the glitch.
While I receive notices of activity on the support channels I've connected to since joining, the numbers appear out of whack. Typically the numbers suggest 30 to 40 new messages in a two hour period, but when I scroll through the true number is usually 3 or 4. BTW they are difficult to locate without endlessly scrolling the stream. No matter since I don't understand the technical jargon.
Guess I expected more to be happening like my diaspora account. Far be it for me to complain so I'll hide in the weeds and use this space as an oddly themed blog. :)
