!Hubzilla Support Forum
What's the best way to Remote Authenticate?
For example, suppose I have created new channel on https://start.hubzilla.org.
And I want to make a post on the Hubzilla Support Forum ( https://zotadel.net/channel/support)
When I go to the Hubzilla Support Forum channel there's no indication of a way to post. It turns out that if I want to post to the forum, I have to first authenticate with the hub first. But how to do that? There's nothing on the zotadel.net channel to indicate how to remote authenticate. So I go to the base url ( https://zotadel.net/).
There I see a login form, and a button labelled "remote authentication". I click that button, and I see a popup that says:
"OpenWebAuth: zotadel.net welcomes Christopher M. Rasch"
But the page doesn't change. So, I click the back button in my browser until I get back to the Hubzilla Support Forum ( https://zotadel.net/channel/support).
Now I see a "Connect" button on the page. I click the button, and now I'm added as a connection fo the forum. I still can't post on that page though--I have to go back to my own channel and make a post, using the special "!Hubzilla Support Forum" tag.
Is this the way it's supposed to be done?
