Stay in, but please keep washing your hands!!
Apparently there's a new Joe Rogan podcast, where an epidemiologist points out that the main mode of transmission is person-to-person, and I think a few people got the wrong impression.
I'm pretty sure his point was that you really need to be doing social distancing no matter how much you sanitize.
You absolutely should not be just going out all the time and assuming you are fine because you used some Purell.
But every source I've seen, including the CDC, and the epidemiologist himself, suggest you keep washing your hands, and many are suggesting you watch out for high-touch surfaces.
Even a 1% reduction in transmission could be thousands of lives saved over the long run, and washing your hands probably does quite a bit more than that, if this is anything like other droplet based things.
