Hi,
I'm not the most recent newbie on Hubzilla, but with some six or seven weeks since I started using it still a debutant.
With this post I want to make a (not so big) suggestion for improvement, concerning images, especially high resolution photos. I wouldn't post this if it only were a special nice-to-have feature from my own point of view. I post it because I'm sure that Hubzilla would reach a very big sort of users who are still on GooglePlus: professional as well as non-professional photograhers!
When clicking a photo on the /photos/channelname/image/ preview, a kind of layer with a full size view of the picture is faded in. My suggestion is, that this faded in layer offers more than just the picture in its real size. In particular, I am missing three things:
1) possibility to zoom in or out (for example using the mouse wheel)
2) possibility to move within a big picture by clicking and dragging it
3) Exif data infos if existing
I think all this could be included with client side scripting in the faded in full size view layer.
To make more clear what my suggestion includes, please have a look at this example on GooglePlus (available until summer, 2019);
https://plus.google.com/photos/photo/109568960804534353862/6609658488661133410?hl=de Play around with the magnifier there, use the mouse wheel, get picture infos from the hamburger menu, or drag the picture around when seeing only a part of it. If the "full size view layer" of Huzbzilla would offer all of this stuff to their users, this could become a crucial argument for thousands of photo lovers still hanging around on GooglePlus.
