I haven't read or seen #readyplayerone yet, but hearing that IOI, the antagonist-corp, is a VR hardware maker makes me wonder if it has a commentary about using hardware that you don't fully control.

Hubzilla is really weird when you don't have a channel.

The top left just says "Logout", and if you go to someone else's channel, there is no way to get back to the "make a channel" screen.

You can't actually do anything without a channel. So, create one smiling face with open mouth
It's like having a driving license but not having a car...

You can just go back to the site you created the account.

Oh, hi there. I was mostly making a note to myself.

The way I got back was by going to https://start.hubzilla.org/ manually. A less technically minded user would probably try to hit "back" or log out and back in, which would work, but it could be irritating for a first time user.

It's strange that the Hubzilla >> Start text on the header is not a link though. That leaves no visible links back, since the far right menu becomes specific to the the current chanel.

Good idea. Done.
